Three-story building, plus basement parking, built in a residential colony of the early twentieth century with educational and health centers, offering a low-density, pleasant and wooded environment.
The building houses a private health facility. Its shape is conditioned by the demand for maximum buildable use. The challenge was to establish a dialogue with this environment by introducing a new, highly technological construction, while at the same time taking into account the building’s corporate image.
This dialogue with the environment is proposed through a similar volumetry, of greater formal rotundity, but conceived as a light glass volume that establishes a relationship by contrast, seeking to soften the visual weight of the building, while using a glass that also reflects the environment, as well as the sky, the sun or the clouds. A simple volume of dynamic facades by reflection, changing with the hours of the day and night.
Curtain wall enclosure system and a second skin with tinted and screen-printed tempered glass on the south façade, which not only protects from sunlight but also provides privacy. In the rest of the facades, a system of perforated sheet metal trays, with the same cutting as the glass, with 3 different types of perforation, which tries to dynamize the large sheet metal panels. These trays are lacquered in the resulting color of the glass, in order to offer a unitary reading of the building despite having different materials on their facades.
The interior has been designed with technical floor and ceiling systems that allow for the modification of layouts.
